GaL-AA wishes you all a sober Holiday season

Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, Christmas, Festivus and any other celebration you have this time of year.

This time of year is stressful for many alcoholics, so first things first!

Remember to have a second plan (plan B) for the holiday parties, family and friends get together whatever you’re doing. If you’re feeling uncomfortable and think it might be a slippery place or overwhelming for you, you can say no as you have other plans (as you do, like staying sober)

This time of year is a good time to go to more meetings, help someone in need, or work the phones at your local AA Central office. There are lots of ways to get through the holidays without drinking and have fun too. Just ask your sponsor or a fellow AA member that’s been around a few years. Whatever you plan to do, just do it sober.
