Gays and Lesbians in Alcoholics Anonymous

Statement of Inclusion

GaL-AA (Gays and Lesbians in AA) was established to serve and have the involvement of lesbians, gay men, and others in Alcoholics Anonymous, regardless of how they choose to identify themselves. In selecting the name, careful consideration was given to a variety of combinations. While the name only directly reflects gays and lesbians, we embrace all LGBT+ members of the AA fellowship.

Our Mission

“To us the Realm of Spirit is broad, roomy, all inclusive: never exclusive or forbidding to those who earnestly seek. It is open, we believe, to all…”

Lakeshore Retreat was established and chartered in 2005 and is an all-volunteer 501(c) 3 non-profit organization that provides a safe and welcoming environment for 12 step groups.  While primarily serving Seattle/Tacoma and Washington State’s LGBTQ community, our activities and events are open to everyone.  We help people put their lives back together. Our 14th annual retreat theme is, “We Do Recover,” and we will provide a wide range of educational workshops to facilitate individual growth and healing. Participate in the fun, laughter and excitement of our now famous Raffle event. Join us, experience nature and make new friends.
